Canoe guy gift box

 Oh my gosh this project was so rewarding. I was totally putting this one off because it intimidated me a little but it went together with ease and was really fun to decorate. Moral of my story no matter how complicated something looks give it a go.

I used swiss dot cardstock by Bazzill Basics for the base of the box and the lid. I love how the dots gave it good texture and dimension. 

I used a little jute string around the paddles to give it a little flare and I like the way that turned out. I wish I would have placed the paddles  a little more to the left, however the glue adhearded fast and well I was then committed to having them there,but hey no body is perfect. 

The fish I added are from Cricit design space and I used gray cardstock for them. I stamped the "It's Your Day" and then cut around the words to give it a wavy look. Which I thought would go with the theme of the box.
