Hi Cupcake Birthday Card
Hello Craft Family,
I was just playing around one day and this card came to life. I started with the black tag. I have had these in my stash for a very long time and decided to see what I could make with one of them. It had also been awhile since I broke my stamps out to create a homemade greeting card.
There are a few technique's I want to pointe out of this hcard. First I stamped the images and then used the tearing technique which I think added to the interest of the tag. Then I inked around that tearing to give it a rustic feel. I colored just a little pit on the cup cake to give it a pop of color.
The second fun thing that came out of this card is the Core'dination cardstock. This cardstock is so fun to emboss and then sand. See the embossed circles in the picture. I sanded them lightly to show though the coordinating lighter core of the cardstock. This really makes those embossed images stand out better and gives the back ground depth.
Third I used the nuvo drops around the circles to embellish my card with out giving it a lot of bulk.
Last I used the gelly white pens around the tag to make the tag stand out and be the focal point of the card.
