Send out a Card Challenge
Some things that get lost over time are missed dearly. As much as we love technology and the benefits it brings we can forget about something as simple as sending a card in the mail. I still love to get mail and a handmade card in the mail is even better. Using our creativity to bring smiles to others is one of the reasons I started scrapbooking. Seeing the joy when a love one opens up a card or a treat holder that I made is what makes this hobby so fulfilling. In this blog post I want to challenge you to send a card out to someone this week. Is someone having a birthday? Someone in the hospital? Maybe someone is just going though a hard time in life. Sending a card in the mail shows them how much you are thinking about them. Yes we could text or send a Facebook message but instead lets do it the old fashioned way.
Here is a card I made for my brother-in-law that recently went into the hospital. I used a gear embossing folder and some gear embellishments that I found deep in my stash. It felt good to use some items I have had for awhile. The blue cardstock howerever is from our website. Did you know we have over 95 different blues on our website which makes it easy to find that perfect color you are looking for.
March for our family has so many birthdays that I need to start making cards in January. Here are a few birthday card ideas.
So go ahead take the challenge and show us what card you made that you are going to send or give to your loved one this week!
