Victorian Top Hat Birthday treat box or home decor
Hello Craft Family,
Today I have for you a project that would work great for Mother's Day or a Birthday. The great thing about this top hat is you can use it for home decor after it has been a treat box for a gift card or a small gift.
The file comes from Simplycraftysvgs.com and the cardstock is from our website except for the pattern paper. I had that in my stash and thought it was perfect for this hat.
I also used from our store the laser cut chipboard butterfly for the front. I just love the elegance that butterfly brought to this project. The flowers came with the cut file and were easy to roll and put together. I get asked how I roll my flowers and the truth is I don't use a tool. I like to use my fingers and it works for me. Someday I might try a quilling tool but for now I will stick what works for me.
The stand and the hat are separate pieces with the stand having the box part in order for you to place something special in it. I used light yellow cardstock for the stand and the panel pieces I used an embossed brown cardstock. I could have used pattern paper too but wanted to make sure it did not look too busy. However next time I might try a pattern paper for the panels.
The gold leaves I cut out using my Cricut design space and used Gold Foil Cardstock.
