Vintage Suitcase Valentine Treat or gift holder
Hello Craft Family,
I am so excited to show you this vintage suitcase that I turned into a treat box for Valentine's Day. This SVG File from Simplycraftysvgs.com was easier then it looked. Here is how I made it.
Once I cut the file out on my Cricut Maker I cut out the base with American Crafts Black cardstock. I then used this fabulous pattern paper called Smitten by Simple Stores. This is a double sided pattern cardstock that really gave this suitcase a chic look. I then used one of our new rose embossing folders we have in our store and embossed the straps to give this project an elegant flare. The hardware pieces you see are out of Gold Foil Cardstock by Bazzill Basics.
I finished the treat holder off with some ribbon I had in my stash and a stamp I have had for years. I stamped the LOVE stamp on white cardstock and then trimmed the extra cardstock to give it a small white boarder. I love how the tag turned out and it was perfect size for the handle of the suitcase.
The inside of this vintage suitcase was lined with just the other side of this double sided cardstock paper. I only had to use one sheet of the pattern cardstock to make this suitcase. I love using both sides of the scrapbooking paper for this reason.
It never stops amazing me what you can do with paper. Having so many options of cardstock and textured paper is our goal at Piecingparadise.com. We want to give you more options so that the only limitation on your creation is your imagination.
